SuburbsChurch was launched in Cadbury Heath, Bristol in January 2007 under the leadership of Pastor Michael Williams. The church is growing in purpose, passion and in vision. Michael has been able to build on the hard work of the previous leadership team led by Andrew & Avril Wesley. We wholeheartedly support Andrew and Avril’s work in Belarus heading up the charity Top Kids.
Back in the UK, Michael has a vision to shape a church that works for ordinary people; a church:
- that explains its messages in ways that make sense.
- where it’s okay to be broken and possible to be healed.
- that really loves its community and proves it with positive action.
- that buzzes with life, faith, humour and unpredictability.
The dream is huge: to build churches and plant projects in communities around the suburbs of this great city. We’re bringing people an opportunity to experience the compassion, power, generosity and freedom of the Kingdom of God.
The leaders, the teams, the volunteers, the members, the families, the young and the old are all involved in making Suburbs what it is.
